The US Department of Commerce has added 24 Chinese companies to the sanctions list for helping to build artificial islands in the South China Sea, the organization said.
Listing by the US Department of Commerce means that the US authorities impose restrictions on the export, re-export and transfer of goods in accordance with the existing regulations to individuals and organizations that pose risks to national security and foreign policy interests of the United States, the press release said .
These companies were placed on the Entity List for enabling the People’s Republic of China to reclaim and militarize disputed outposts in the South China Sea:
