The cryptocurrency of the Telegram Open Network blockchain platform will be released in the next two months, stated project investors who wished to remain anonymous. The company also plans to introduce an electronic wallet, which can be used by 200-300 million users of the messenger.

Telegram reported that they are positioning their Gram token as an electronic currency with which it will be possible to conduct transactions anywhere in the world. The company emphasized that management will be decentralized.

Earlier it became known that Gram tokens have already appeared on the secondary market. Investors sell coins of the closed round of the ICO Telegram Open Network due to a delay in the development of the blockchain platform. According to CoinDesk, several over-the-counter exchanges, crypto-exchanges and at least one investment fund get rid of their coins, despite the fact that this is prohibited by the rules of the initial offering.

Initially, the launch of the Pavel Durov blockchain was supposed to take place in the fourth quarter of last year, but the deadlines were repeatedly rescheduled. If the launch does not take place before October 31 of the current year, the company is obliged to return to investors all of their funds in full.
