Syngenta raised $28.2 billion last year

Constituted by ChemChina and Sinochem around the former eponymous flagship of the Swiss Stock Exchange, the Syngenta group has garnered 7.4 billion dollars on Chinese territory alone, up more than 40%.

The agrochemical and seed company Syngenta generated 2021 a turnover of 28.2 billion dollars (26.1 billion francs during the day), which increased by 23% over one year. Profitability also followed an upward curve but was less marked. The gross operating surplus (Ebitda) thus swelled by 14% to 4.6 billion, details a report released Thursday.

At the global level, income in agrochemicals increased by 19% to 13.5 billion, those of seeds by 24% to 4.1 billion, and those of the Israeli subsidiary Adama by 24% also to 5.8 billion.

The Basel subsidiary Syngenta AG alone generated 16.7 billion, up 17%. Operating surplus gleaned less than 1% to 2.1 billion and net profit stood at 1.4 billion.
