South Africa-based Purple Group adds cryptocurrencies to trading platform

A leading financial company in South Korea –  Purple Group – reportedly listed Bitcoin and Ethereum on the GT247.com. The coins can be bought for fiats.

The company has decided to add two leading digital coins citing strong demand from the users. At the same time, earlier Purple Group has been trading without cryptocurrencies, so the launch of this service seems to be a big even for the company. Users can buy Bitcoin and Ethereum at South African rand.

"We have seen a decent amount of interest," commented the company specialist.

In addition, the company has allowed opening of short BTC and ETH positions, which may be welcomed by the traders, especially under the current market environment.

Demand for cryptocurrencies is steadily progressing in South Africa. Coins are available on such local platforms like Luno and Ice3x as well as via international brokers.

The company spokesperson believes that international banking institutions and trading platforms are highly interested in the crypto market regulations, so it is quite possible that such players will want to get cryptos as a legal asset. He also added that this segment seems to start stabilizing.
