Roctool aims for strong profitable growth

In 2021, Roctool posted a net loss of 0.7 million euros, compared to a loss of 2.6 million in 2020. The Ebitda of a specialist in mold heating and cooling technologies for plastics and composites turned positive at 0.2 million. Turnover amounted to 8.2 million, including 5.3 million in the second half, an increase of 27% over the year, with a strong acceleration in the second half of 82%.

"This hyper-growth has been driven in particular by the very significant breakthrough in the beauty sector, which is becoming one of Roctool's leading markets, representing 42% of total turnover in 2021, followed by consumer products. (18%) and industry (17%),” the company detailed.

The latter specified that exchanges with two potential industrial partners had accelerated since the beginning of the year. "As a reminder, this ongoing search for a strategic partnership aims to strengthen Roctool and the deployment of its technology internationally," added the group.

And to conclude: "If 2021 was a year of transformation and acceleration with major international accounts, the first months of the new financial year confirm the quality of this strategic shift. The very strong commercial traction emanating from the eco-responsible relevance of technology of Roctool, validated in the Beauty sector by a leading player, allows the company more than ever to confirm its ambitions for a strong profitable growth".
