NFT owners will be able to rent tokens

The blockchain company Mouse Belt Labs has launched the Boredjobs platform, where NFTs from the collection of Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) will be leased, Cointelegraph reports. According to the developers, companies will be able to borrow characters for temporary use to promote their business.

Only those NFTs whose owners register on the platform and confirm their ownership will be available for rental. Mouse Belt co-founder Patrick McLane said that within a day after the launch, the site had already received more than 200 applications for registration from the owners of BAYC.

Answering the question about how the tokens will be used by tenants, McLane said that a small business can make a virtual character the face of its brand, and a large company can use the token in marketing events.

McLane also noted that Mouse Belt will continue to support other NFT projects, such as Mutant Apes and Crypto Punks. Hollywood actor Seth Green uses his character from the BAYC collection as the main character in the TV show. In March, the token was stolen, and in April, Green had to pay 165 ETH (about 300 thousand USD) to return the NFT.
