Facebook began to show fake ads about the opportunity to earn using the platform Telegram Open Network. The only inconsistency in the statements of the attackers is that the blockchain from Pavel Durov has not yet begun to work. These scam ads were detected mainly in the Russian-speaking segment of the social network.
Specialists studied the purpose of the messages and determined that they all have a single structure. This indicates a newsletter from a fraudulent organization trying to lure customers through the announcement of the Telegram Open Network. All messages contain links to one resource, which describes a certain unique scheme of earnings on the blockchain.
All project investors are promised a minimum daily earnings at RUB 10,000. In order to take part in its development, the user needs to specify personal data, including a contact phone number and email. Users of social networks who know the purpose of fraudulent messages believe that criminals try to collect a database for further phishing using this method.
Some Facebook pages say that the creator of Telegram, Pavel Durov, was involved in the development of the project. Similar schemes are distributed in the messenger itself. But amid increased scammers, the popularity of TON in search engines has grown significantly. This is evidenced by the number of clicks on the keyword phrase "buy Gram".
