BlockCard has announced the release of the first-ever Litecoin-enabled Visa debit card.
Charlie Lee noted that this is not just a cryptocurrency card that supports Litecoin. This is the only card that does not restrict users to only one asset - LTC. It allows you to deposit and use other cryptoassets.
The card will be able to deposit twelve leading cryptocurrencies: Litecoin, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Basic Attention Token, Dai, Ethereum, Paxos Standard, Stellar Lumen, Ternio, Tether, TrueUSD, USD Coin and XRP. The card will be available in 31 European countries with mandatory user verification.
This is the company's second attempt to launch a Litecoin debit card. The previous partnership with LitePay was not crowned with success - the project ceased its activities, not having time to really start.
The news of the launch of the Litecoin debit card doesn't seem to have had much of an impact on the price of the cryptocurrency. Litecoin is currently ranked 7th among the most traded cryptocurrencies according to CoinMarketCap ranking and is currently trading just above the $ 62 mark.
