The cryptocurrency trading platform Gemini run by the Winklevoss twins have reportedly expanded its services to Australia.
"We want individuals and institutions around the world to have a safe and easy way to buy, sell, and store cryptocurrency and engage in this new digital economy," reads the company press release.
For now, Gemini has become available in 7 countries apart from the USA. Along with Australia, the list includes the UK, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Puerto Rico.
"We are hard at work expanding our global footprint and bringing our trusted platform to as many countries as possible," said Tyler Winklevoss.
At the platform, users can trade bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin and Zcash.
Earlier, Gemini expressed intentions to apply for a broker-dealer license to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority to get status an alternative trading system and offer blockchain-based securities.
Besides, Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss reportedly shared this week that they were considering joining the Libra Association seeing the strong potential of the Libra project that can promote cryptocurrency segment. The decision on whether listing Libra at Gemini is yet to be made.
