Exclusive Networks Partners with Salt Security to Combat Cyber Threats Targeting APIs

Posted 26 April, 2022

Exclusive Networks, a global specialist in the cybersecurity of digital infrastructures, becomes the first value-added distribution partner of Salt Security, a world leader in securing APIs.
As part of this agreement, Exclusive will have exclusive rights to distribute Salt Security's API protection platform in the EMEA region.
The first countries affected will be the United Kingdom, France, the DACH countries, Benelux, Spain, the Nordic countries, and Italy.

APIs have become the main vector for attacks targeting applications. These attacks are becoming more frequent, and their impact is growing. This partnership, which mainly concerns the distribution of the Salt Security platform in the EMEA region, will contribute to combating these increased risks. Distribution partners in the region will thus be able to benefit from a significant market opportunity, which is growing rapidly.

Exclusive Networks is recognized for its ability to support emerging and disruptive suppliers so that they can position themselves in the EMEA market. The company will ensure here to support Salt Security's growth plans and distribution strategy in Europe. Exclusive Networks will lead the development of distribution channels, the recruitment, and the preparation of partners. In addition, Nuaware, a DevSecOps technology specialist and cloud-native of Exclusive Networks, will provide support in driving demand, user engagement, and customer adoption.

Targeted threats

Denis Ferrand-Ajchenbaum, VP Global Ecosystems, and Alliances at Exclusive Networks explain: “All major analysts now recognize that threats targeting APIs require specialized solutions. This growing market concerns both attacks targeting APIs and vulnerabilities APIs in the DevOps process. APIs are an essential part of the digital evolution of companies... but they are also a back door for potential cyberattacks."

"Many companies have an 'API-first' strategy, but so far many have overlooked the implications of such a choice on their security. Salt Security is the ideal answer to this problem and is a perfect match for the rest of our offer. We are delighted to be able to expand the base of Salt Security partners and to support the market launch of this platform. We will be able to equip these partners with strong auditing capabilities, which prioritize securing APIs."

"We are delighted to collaborate with Exclusive Networks. Throughout EMEA, distribution partners will be able to offer our platform, and we will be able to rely on Exclusive's specialized expertise in bringing new technologies to market", adds Sunil Dutt, Director of Channel Sales, EMEA, and APAC, Salt Security.

“Securing APIs is becoming a category of cybersecurity in its own right. We are in an era where the risks are increasingly greater, and where generalist AppSec solutions struggle to provide effective protection against sophisticated attacks targeting APIs. "
