COINMARKETCAP EXECUTIVES LEAVE THE PROJECT

Posted 02 September, 2020

Key executives at CoinMarketCap stepped down four months after the platform was acquired by the Binance exchange.

Five CMC executives, including previous CEO Carilyn Chan, have left the project. She told about this to TheBlock.

The mass layoff came four months after CoinMarketCap was acquiredfor $ 400 million on the Binance exchange. However, Chan declined to comment on the reason for her departure and the exchange's involvement in it.

Binance plans to replace the previous management with its own employees. However, it was previously stated that CoinMarketCap will always work “regardless of the exchange”.

CoinMarketCap is one of the most visited cryptocurrency sites. In July alone, the portal gathered 33 million visitors.
