CEO ZenGo: SAFU Wallet Hacked

Posted 11 October, 2019

Ouriel Ohayon, the co-founder of ZenGo, sent out alert Twitter that the wallet extension SAFU Wallet is apparently stealing lots of funds by injecting malicious code to users.

Wallet hack alert: DO NOT use and report that Wallet extension. It has stolen already lots of funds by injecting malicious code -  tweeted Ouriel Ohayon.

The developers of the Raven Protocol project also confirmed that there was a problem. Users who have worked with SAFU Wallet and have not yet lost their funds are advised to immediately create a new address in Binance DEX and transfer them there.

At the moment, the extent of the damage is unknown, but the wallet has been operating since October 3, and by the 8th day it has been downloaded over 1300 times to create more than 5000 addresses. The application is quickly removed from the Google Play and App Store.

The project was supported by the head of Binance, Changpeng Zhao, but after the current events, he simply deleted his message. Zhao did not warn users about the danger and has not yet given any comments on this subject.
