Bittrex International is all set to close operations on the 29th of October. At the same time, the Maltese branch, focused on serving international customers, will stop working, according to the company's official blog. The closure will be accompanied by the launch of a new partner exchange, Bittrex Global.

“On Tuesday, October 29, Bittrex International (operated out of Malta) will be closing. This closure coincides with the launch of a new exchange partner – Bittrex Global. Bittrex Global is a new European exchange utilizing the trusted Bittrex technology platform.“ - stated in the official blog.

Bittrex Global invites Bittrex International customers to upgrade to their platform. On the launch day, users of the old exchange will be redirected to the new platform, for access to which they will be able to use existing accounts. Additional information on this subject will be published shortly. According to the post, the upcoming platform, headquartered in Liechtenstein, would require it be regulated under EU laws.

Bittrex has decided to cease operations in 31 countries that include Venezuela and Zimbabwe. In the coming week, users were asked to withdraw funds on their accounts.
