Bitmain has started selling a new miner for Ethereum mining

The manufacturer of Bitcoin miners has started selling the Antminer E9 device, which runs on the Et hash algorithm, since July 6. The equipment is focused on mining Ethereum and Ethereum Classic, has a hashing speed of 2.4 TH/s at a consumption of 1920 Watts with an energy efficiency of 0.8 J/M.

The company is confident that the cost of the device will pay off in 100 days of operation. It is assumed that the Antminer E9 can replace 25 RTX 3080 video cards.

The miner was first announced in April last year. Since then, its characteristics have changed without announcements from Bitmain. In particular, it was previously assumed that the ASIC will be able to replace 32 RTX 3080 cards, the hashing speed will be 3 GH/s, the consumption will be 2256 watts.
