Australia, together with partners, is ready to announce "quick and tough" sanctions against individuals and legal entities of the Russian Federation in connection with the recognition of the LNR and the DNR, which follows from a message published on the website of the Australian Foreign Ministry.
On the evening of Monday, February 21, the President of the Russian Federation signed decrees on the recognition of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics after their leaders addressed him with relevant requests.
According to the release, the measures will be directed against key individuals and legal entities responsible for undermining the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
It is noted that Australia is closely coordinating its actions with the United States, Britain, the European Union, and other governments around the world.
